Memphis, TN - On Thursday, October 16, 2025, Daniela and Claudia Troconis, sisters of Michelle Troconis, traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, to attend Stories of Justice: A Conversation with Amanda Knox at the Crosstown Concourse Theater.
The event, organized by the Tennessee Innocence Project, brought together exonerees, advocates, and families, all united by the mission to expose wrongful convictions and support the innocent. Daniela and Claudia attended to listen, learn, and connect with others who share a passion for truth and justice.
They had the honor of meeting Amanda Knox, whose strength and advocacy for the wrongfully convicted inspires Michelle and her family. They also met several exonerees who shared deeply moving stories of perseverance, hope, and reclaiming life after injustice.
During the event, Daniela and Claudia also met the Executive Director of the Tennessee Innocence Project, Jason Gichner, and a group of law-students who are working in the field of innocence/justice reform. (Tennessee Innocence Project)
Following the Memphis portion of their trip, the sisters continued on to Nashville, where they met other advocates and supporters raising awareness about wrongful convictions and working toward reform.
This journey through Tennessee was both emotional and inspiring—a powerful reminder that Michelle is not alone, and that across cities, a community of truth-seekers and justice advocates stands with her and others working to prove their innocence.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Tennessee Innocence Project for organizing this impactful event, and to everyone who continues to shine a light on the stories of the wrongfully convicted.
